"Money! Money! Money! It's A Rich Man's World."
So the question about the success rate of Black owned businesses is on the tip of the tongues of certain purse holders.
Attracting, maintaining and increasing sales is key to business growth. Any business. With the question of financial growth; ROI, when implemented well and measured appropriately, comes varying levels of success. Tangible and intangible.
What about VALUE? The same can be said with VALUE. With value of a product and service comes word of mouth recommendations from customers and clients who Like, Know, Trust a product and service. Often it is the people facing customers who promote the value of a product and service. The better the social mobility inclusion aspect of the staff, the better the business grows.

Black; it is worth noting here that it is up to you as to how you define Black, owned businesses have their finger on the pulse of what is important within a Black community. It must also be noted that not all Black communities are the same. It is the nuances that create cultural variety and sales. British Black businesses do things slightly differently to Black American owned businesses, who do things slightly differently to Black African owned businesses, who do things differently to Black Caribbean, Black South American and Black South Pacific business owners. Yet there are a few cultural understandings of each other and why they do business as they do. With any new, fresh business starting out they understand their marketplace. Their locality. Their business visibility and growth also entices sales that are external to their locality. Educated and well-to-do Black people have a purchasing power that is equal to educated and well-to-do White people. Both have a propensity to enable the success of a Black owned business. Which includes ordinary working-class, middle-class and upper-class shoppers who place value ahead of business growth wherever they shop. These shoppers also help to level up the social mobility of a Black business owner.

The question of "How do you promote Black businesses?" is much the same as how one would promote a White business. In general, when starting out both sets of brand new owners need to give a wide berth to their internal fear of missing out (FOMO). Of trying to catch up with other business owners who look similar to them. That kind of thinking has to be put to bed at the onset of starting a business. Business owners do not need the extra hurdle of a fear of missing out when trying to grow their business. Black business owners already comprehend that when they take the responsibility of starting a new business they also level up their social mobility and invitations to opportunities. Whether they choose to take the opportunities is another discussion.
